I could open this post by looking back at the disappointing display Nintendo put on at last year’s E3. I could rant about the lack of solid first part content, the lackluster showing from third parties and Cammie bloody Dunaway, but the fact is we know what went wrong.
Fortunately, Nintendo know that they messed up too. Fingers crossed as E3 builds itself back up to the all singing, all dancing mega conference it once was the Big N will be leading the way with some hot announcements that will restore …

I handed in my last degree assignments yesterday, took part in my final exam and have just one more portfolio of work to print off before I officially bring three years of University living to a close. Expect a blogging burst in the next few days, as well as a liveblog Twitterfest on Tuesday to mark Nintendo’s E3 press conference.
Coming shortly, my predictions for that conference.

What was I saying the other day about being a Nintendo gamer and being blessed with pangs of nostalgia every now and then? No sooner have we recovered from the highly-hyped announcement of Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, than Nintendo treat their fans to another healthy dose of fan service.
The Big N have spent a lot of money on their commercials of late. In the UK, this has mostly gone on hiring big names like Girls Aloud, Patrick Stewart, Julie Walters and the Redknapps to promote DS and Wii. …

Last weekend, the Japanese Pokémon show teased a big announcement for the series would be made this Sunday. All the hints were in place for a Gold and Silver remake, craved for by fans, and overnight the rumours were confirmed.
Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are due out in Japan around the Autumn and, despite a part of me knowing I shouldn’t be excited I am. Gold/Silver/Crystal were the peak of the franchise for me. I know that since then the games have evolved with technology, but from a gameplay …

A wise man once said that saying goodbye is never easy. That man was John Dorian, and he said it just last night as he waved goodbye to Sacred Heart and we in turn bid him a fond farewell in Scrubs.
For eight years, JD’s exploits have made us laugh, cry and occasionally question his state of mind. To see it come to an end is a terrible shame, but last night’s Season Eight finale was such a perfect ending that I am okay with it.
Season Seven should could well have …

Of all the Wii’s launch titles that showed potential and sadly failed to deliver, Red Steel has to be top of the list. While looking very stylish and promising some excellent gameplay, dodgy controls meant that the title could never really give us what we were craving and, as such, I and probably many other gamers never got round to finishing it as better implemented and less frustrating Wii titles hit the market.
Thankfully, Ubisoft are able to give the series a second shot as Motion Plus will hopefully deliver the …

Deary me, just look at the dates between this post and the last. More than a month. What the hell have I been doing?

Oh, right. 56-page magazine from the ground up.

That’s officially out the way today as it’s sent off to the printers – complete with any typos which I may have missed during four exhausting proof-readings. (I nearly cried last night when I saw “Donky Kong”, just as I finished exporting what I was confident would be the final PDF.)

The end result has really pleased me, and I really …
