About
Constantly-Abbreviated.com is the brightly-coloured pixieland of journalism graduate Mike Carter. Now in its sixth incarnation (following a Geocities, two Xanga and two previous Wordpress models), Constantly Abbreviated has been a concept floating around Mike’s mind for almost five years now.
Intended as a means of promoting himself as a blogger, writer and literary artiste, it may seem a little redundant now he has set himself on the dizzying journalistic role of Sub-Editor, but maintains that a blog is still the best means of waffling about things when no-one else will listen to you. Sorry, best means of getting yourself “out there” and “known” to “them”. [Did you picture me air-quoting those words? I hope so.]
With a broad range of musical, film and gaming tastes, the spectrum of articles that Mike can write seems endless, but frequent bouts of writer’s block and a nasty habit of getting bogged down in things in the real world have led to the yo-yo like history that ConAb now has.
Constantly-Abbreviated.com v6.0 was launched on August 8th, 2009, with University life firmly behind him and a bright, if completely unknown future ahead. As a means to keep writing and stay on top of current goings on in the media-world, it is hoped ConAb v6.0 gets more love and attention than any ConAb that has come before it.
