It was with a somewhat heavy heart yesterday that I started reading through the Audit Bureau of Circulation’s (ABC) figures for June to December of last year. As the saying goes there are lies, damn lies and pie charts, but there could be no denying that for magazine publishers, those working in the industry and anyone wishing to find a print-based job come June/July, the numbers could make for grim reading.
